Dispatching management information system is a department level MIS with special nature. This paper discusses the problems about design principals of DMIS, set up of models, idea for development of software, then proceeds to propose a set of relatively complete solutions, which has been successfully realized in the construction of DMIS system in Guangzhou power network dispatching center.
