In this paper, we give another explanation for soft-decision partial PIC (SD-PPIC) detector in DS/CDMA systems. According to this explanation, we yield a convenient method to determine the partial cancellation factors in SD-PPIC detector and by which we can assure the SD-PPIC detector converges at the quickest speed to its limit performance which can be proved to be that of decorrelating detector.
