中国古代科学史研究要突破以西方和近现代科学为标准的框框

The Western and modern Science Should not be the Only Criterion of Chinese Ancient Science

几十年来的中国古代科学史研究，主要是以西方和现代科学为标准考证中国古代的科学成就，只有这样的研究不能很好地证明中国古代有科学，也不能很好地为现代科学的发展提供借鉴，也不能担负起沟通科学与人文的功能。为了开创中国古代科学史研究的新局面，应当突破以西方和近现代科学为标准的框框，把科学看做是研究自然、认识自然的活动，大力加强中国古代科学思想史研究。

The main trend in the study of the history of Chinese ancient science in last several decades has been the research of achievement. In the research of achievement we have taken the western and modern science for the only criterion. The study in this way can not give eloquent proof of Chinese ancient science, can not give us much use for reference that will push the modern science forward, and can not effectively link up the science and humane studies. If we dont take the western and modern science for the only criterion any longer, and actively expand the study of the history of scientific thought, the study of the history of Chinese ancient science will have a great advance.
