奥古斯都顺应历史潮流,调整共和时期大规模向外扩张政策,以军事实力为后盾,以和平为目标,实行机动灵活的对外政策,有力地巩固了帝国的边界,提高了帝国的威望,促进了帝国的和平、稳定与繁荣。
Following the history tide, August revised the policy of large-scale expansion in the Republican period, regarding military forces as backing, peace as goal, so as to consolidate the empire's frontier, enhance her reputation, promote her peace, stability and prosperity.
