摘要
通过分析传统网络体系结构对增强多媒体数据传输服务质量控制的诸多限制 ,利用主动式网络的优点 ,以及其实现的方法———分散式和集成式 ,特别是应用“主动式”程序囊 (一个小的程序片段 ,在主动式节点中被执行 )代替了传统网络中被动传输的数据报方法 ,来简要说明了主动式网络在多媒体数据传输的服务质量控制中的应用和发展前景 .
Active network permit applications to inject programs into the nodes of network,and perform customized computations on user data within the nodes of network. This supports faster service innovation by making iteasier to deploy new network services. Through analyzing the deficiencies of current network architecture in improving QoS control of multimedia data, discuss the advantages of active network and also provide and distinguish two approaches to active networks--discrete and integrated. Especially the case replaces packets with program 'capsules'--program fragments that executed at active nodes, make out the applications of active network in improving QoS control of multimedia data.
