摘要
提出机床主轴选材应遵循的基本原则，介绍机床主轴用材和相应的热处理工艺，以及机床主轴是用材和工艺技术的发展概况。
This paper offers basic principles in choosing materials for main shafts in machine tools and introduces chief materials used for main shafts and their heat treatment technique.It also outlines the development in this field.
