The paper describes the upturn of gas industry in recent two years and the information pertaining to the recovery of small air separation plants.External liquefaction of gases such as oxygen and nitrogen is emerging except storage and transport of cryogenic liquids.Furthermore the features of the upturning situation in gas industry are as follows:development and operation of small air separation plants with low pressure and low consumption;emerging central oxygen supply in region ;seeking for coordinate development in competition;intensification of technical transformation and gain in economic returns;development of diversified economy;better situation for marketing.But it must be pointed out that the safety situation in gas industry remains serious.
