Easy care performance is a fundamental requirement in today′s fabrics. The desired easy care effects, however, cannot be achieved by the characteristics of Tencel fibres alone. A suitable fabric construction, appropriate pre-treatment and optimised high grade finishing will lift Tencel to levels that will exceed other cellulosic fabrics with regard to easy care properties. The aspects of fabric construction has already been discussed elsewere. The way to a high-grade end-product will be illustrated in this publication, while considering diverse pre-treatments and finishing processes.
