摘要 现在,以太网无源光网络(EPON)技术已经走向市场,并被视为下一代接入网的最佳候选技术,它代表了低成本、高带宽以太网设备与低成本光纤网的融合。从推出EPON技术的背景、基本概念、要解决的主要问题、标准进展情况和市场分析等方面对EPON加以阐述。 Nowadays,EPON technol-ogy has been put into market and is re-garded as the best candidate technology for next-generation access technology.It represents the convergence of low -cost,broadband Ethernet equipment with low-cost fiber network.EPON technology is discussed from several as-pects,including its background,basic concept,main problems,standard progress and market analysis.
