如何加快我国少数民族的现代化进程 ,不仅是一个重大的理论问题 ,而且是一个严峻而紧迫的现实问题。学界围绕该题目已经进行了许多探索并提出了不少有见地的对策。在分析了我国少数民族的现状 ,特别是把其放于历史和我国西部大开发、发展社会主义市场经济及世界经济、文化日益一体化的宏观背景下审视后 ,少数民族惟有自觉地推进民族改革 ,才是尽快实现现代化的根本途径。而且民族改革应当是彻底的全面改革 ,既包括物质层面 ,又要包括精神文化层面。民族改革在技术操作上应当依靠自治机关的政府推动 ,要注意合法性、合宪性 ,走先试验后推广的道路 。

How to fasten the modernization of minorities in China is not only an important issue of theory, but an urgent one of reality. A lot of researches have been made and some insightful measures have been put forward in the field regarding of this subject. On analysis of the current situation of national minorities in China, especially in the macroscopic background of the history and western development,socialism market economy and the globel unity of economy and culture.I think it is an essential way for moderation that national minorities themselves take national reform consciously, modernation can become true as soon as possible. Furthermore, the reform should be thorough and all round both in material and in spirit.The national reform should depend on the pushment of self government on the principle of legality and constitution,by the means of experiment first, then popularization, and at the same time considering the strength of reform and the bearment of minority region.
