“百家争鸣”是我国进入文明社会后出现的第一次空前活跃的学术思想争鸣。它的形成有一个长期的历史积累和演进过程 ,历经五百年之久 ,与奴隶制社会解体、封建制社会确立的过程相一致 ,两者之间有着密切的内在联系 :经济、社会结构解组是“百家争鸣”形成的社会经济条件 ;上层建筑结构解组为“百家争鸣”提供了政治思想条件 ;文化扩散和教育下移是“百家争鸣”形成的文化知识基础 ;“士”阶层的崛起是“百家争鸣”

Contention of various schools of thought' was the first active academic contention after our country entered civilization society.Its formation was a long historical accumulation process,covering a period of 500 years and having a close connection with the disintegration of the slave society and the establishment of the feudal society.The disintegration of the economy and the social structure was the indispensable social and economic condition for the formation of 'contention of various schools of thought' and that of the superstructure provided a political ideological condition.Expansion of culture and education served as the cultural knowledge basis and rising of literati was the catalyst.
