摘要
本文根据大量翔实的文献资料 ,从北马潮人早期的甘蔗种植业和制糖业 ,与农业、渔业生产、硕莪业生产 ,以及从这些垦植活动中崛起的潮人实业家等方面 ,阐述了早期潮人在北马的开拓性经济活动 。
Based on full and accurate data recorded in literature,this paper affirms the great contributions of Chaozhoulese pioneers to the early economic development in northern Malaysia ranging from sugar cane cultivation,sugar refinery,agriculture and fishing,through the production of tapioca,to the rise of generations of Chaozhoulese industrialists from reclamation and plantation.
