Relationship between science and religion in the view of western scientists

西方科学家视野中科学与宗教是和谐一致的关系。西方科学家都具有强烈的宗教信仰趋向 ,这种趋向决定了他们视野中科学与宗教的关系。但是 ,这些科学家信仰的上帝与一般人所信仰的上帝是有区别的 :一般人信仰的上帝是拟人化的上帝 ,而西方科学家信仰的上帝是安排自然秩序的上帝 ;西方科学家在从事科学活动中从不怀疑自己的追求与宗教信仰的一致性 ;科学与宗教相互依存并不存在冲突 ,科学属理性知识而宗教属人类信仰 ,二者各有不同的研究对象和目的 ,科学解决的是实然问题而宗教解决的是应然问题。

The relationship between science and religion is harmonious and uniform in the view of western scientists. However, the god who the scientists believe in is different from the one who common people believe in. The latter is selfhoodization and personalization, while the former is the one who arranges the natural rules. Western scientists never have doubted the relationship between their seeking and religious belief. Science is intelligent knowledge, religion the human being′s belief. There is different domain and objective between science and religion. The question-how things are-is solved by science,the question-how things ought to be-is solved by religion.
