刘建封与长白山

Liu Jianfeng and Changbai Mountain

刘建封是清末的候补知县 ,光绪三十四年 (1 90 8)受东三省总督徐世昌之命 ,踏察长白山及三江之源 ,写出著名的《长白山江岗志略》。安图设治后 ,任第一任设治委员 ,在任期间 ,移民实业 ;开辟河渠 ,修建官道 ;发展邮政 ,开化边民。受辛亥革命影响 ,在安图建大同共和国 ,虽未成功 ,但其反对封建专制 。

Liu Jianfeng was an alternate county magistrate in Qing Dynasty. In Guangxu thirty four year (in 1908), he accepted the order of Xu Shichang who was a governor of the three provinces of northeast to make an on the spot survey of the Changbai mountain and the source of three rivers and wrote famous works:The Outline History about River and Hillock of Changbai Mountain. After Antu was established ,Liu Jianshu took the first committee member. During his tenure of office,he achieved gratifying successes such as: enriching frontier; opening rivers and canals, building the official paths; developing postal service, making the people civilized living on the frontiers. He received the influence of the Xinhai Revolution ,so he established the people's Republic of Great Harmony in Antu. Though he defeated, his thought and action about combating autocratic the feudal system and seeking democracy would go down in the annals of history.
