论《山海图》产生的时代

When Was Shanhaitu Written

对于《山海经》这部著作 ,学者们过去多未能留意已经亡佚的《山海图》 ,而仅仅将注意力集中在尚存的文字上。实际上 ,《山海经》的文字只是《山海图》的衍生物 ,所以从研究《山海经》的文字开始 ,进而研究《山海图》 ,才是我们研究这部古籍的最终目的。

Scholars paid much more attention to Shanhaijin than to Shanhaitu which was lost for ages. As to the latter, their studies are limited to the remaining words about the book. Actually, Shanhaijin is a derivative of Shanhaitu. If we want to know more about the long-lost book, we should first meticulously study the traces left in Shanhaijin.
