摘要
林语堂看出人类渺小、生命终极虚无和命运必然不完满 ,但又强调人的相对尊严和人生的相对价值 ,并且认为“存在”的那些必然缺陷也有积极意义 ,可以产生诗意、傲骨和真正的自由心态 ,可以使人活出另外一种高境界。
LIN Yu tang had seen that the human race was insignificant,the life would ultimately go to nothingness,and the fate was bound to be incomplete and unsatisfactory.However,he had emphasized mans relative dignity and lifes relative value,and thought that even those inevitable defects in 'being' had positive significance which would generate a poetic quality,a lofty and unyielding character,and a free state of mind in its true sense,thus allowing an in dividual to lead a life on another higher level.This idea of LIN Yu tangs is quite new,original and inspiring.
