罗马帝国基督教政策探析──兼论基督教文化的本位主义特征

On the Roman Empire's Policy towards the Early Christians and the Departmental Selfishness Feature of the Christianity Culture

基督徒在罗马帝国曾经遭到长期的迫害，对于这种迫害 ，国内学术界过去一般都倾向于把它归到罗马政府身上。实际上，罗马帝国政府在宗教信仰 方面是非常宽容大度的，它可任由千百种形形色色的宗教在其内部安然地存在。因此，基督 徒之遭受迫害，关键并不在于罗马政府的宗教政策，而是在于早期基督教信仰本身所具有的 狭隘的排他性特征。

The Christians had long been persecuted in the Roman Empire. The domestic scholars used to think that the Roman Government should beresponsible for the persecution. As a matter of fact, the Roman Empire was very tolerant in religious matters. It could even let hundreds of thousands of variou s religions exist freely. Therefore, the cause of the persecution of the Christi ans could not lie in the Empire's policies. What really mattered should be the'Exclusiveness' of the Christianity.
