After the Second World War, the world situation has experienced great changes. Under great domestic and foreign pressure, the French foreign minister Schuman put forward the famous Schuman Plan in 1950, then the European Coal and Steel Treaty Organization were established. Ever since, France and Germany have taken the road of political reconciliation and economic integration. Schuman Plan and the European Coal and Steel Treaty Organization are the beginning of integration in West Europe.
