文学作品英译汉中的异化与归化

Different Approaches to Language and Culture in Literal Translation

翻译界长期以来存在着异化与归化的争论。笔者认为在这个问题上,要把文学翻译中语言和文化的翻译区别对待。语言内容是相对于文化因素来说的,翻译语言内容时应尽量采用归化的方法,使译文顺畅自然;而翻译文化因素时应尽量采用异化的方法,把原语文化译介给译文读者。

To adopt a target-oriented translating approach or a source-oriented one has been a long-debated issue. A distinction needs to be made between translating language content and culture element in literal translation. A target-oriented approach is suitable for translating language content and a source-oriented one is suitable for translating culture element.
