A CAPP software system using SOLIDWORKS as graphic tool for die forging on hammer is developed based on Visual Basic. A user only needs input workpiece geometric parameter and the CAPP system will automatically finish the design of cold forging, hot forging and die forging process. So it thoroughly overcomes the defect of the traditional design of the die forging process.
