虽然作为人的类本质和理想本质的自由自觉的物质生产活动的对象化最初产生了美,但是包括它在内的一切自由自觉的活动的对象化并不总是能够实现的,因为人并不总是自由自觉的。因此,根据自由自觉与否,对象化可分为五组;在每组对象化中,一般说来,前者产生美,后者不产生美;前四组对象化的自由涉及美的内容,最后一组对象化的自由涉及美的形式,是美之为美的特殊性。
