On Confronted and Merged Research Paradigm in Social Sciences abroad

国外社会科学研究形成了量化研究与质化研究两大基本范式。从 方法学的视角看量化研究与质化研究尽管存在方法论立场的对立、研究风格的差异，但社会 科学的复杂性却决定了量化研究与质化研究融合的必要性和必然性。量化研究与质化研究存 在各自的优缺点，它们的融合是必要的，也是可能的。融合的基本方式，包括次序式融合、 平行式融合、交叉式融合、同步主辅式融合、主辅嵌入式融合等。

Two basic research paradigms in social sciences are an alyzed from the methodological view-point.It is necessary to merge both quantit ative research and qualitative research by the complexity of social sciences alt hough they oppose in methodological standpoint.There is a viewpoint that the res ear ch paradigms of the quantitative research and the qualitative research are on th e way from the confliction to the harmony.
