中国共产党代表先进文化的前进方向 ,承担着建设先进文化领导者、组织者的历史责任。在中国21世纪的先进文化建设中 ,我党的主导作用将主要表现在以下几个方面 :坚持以马列主义、毛泽东思想、邓小平理论为指导 ,为建设先进文化提供坚实的政治和思想保证 ;坚决执行“尊重知识、尊重人才”的方针 ,坚持“二为”方向和“双百”方针 ,为建设先进文化提供良好的环境保证 ;坚决奉行科教兴国战略 ,优先发展教育 ,为建设先进文化提供强劲的教育保证 ;正确处理继承、引进、创新中的辩证关系 ,为建设先进文化提供科学的思路 ;人文社会科学与自然科学并重 ,人文精神与科学精神并重 ,做到两轮同转 ,双翅齐飞。

Representing the onward direction of China's advanced culture and shouldering the historical responsibility as leader and organizer in the cultivation of China's advanced culture in the 21st century, the leading role of the CPC can be realized as: laying a solid foundation for the construction of the advanced culture by adhering to Marxism, Leninism, Mao Tse-dong Thought sand Deng Xiaoping's Theory; ensuring a favorable environment by carrying out the policy of 'respecting knowledge and talents', 'two 'for's' and 'two 'let's'' and providing a scientific way of thinking by adequately handling the dialectic relation between inheritance, introduction and creation. It is, then, advised that much importance be attached to both human and social sciences and natural sciences for the co-development of both.
