In spite of both advantages and disadvantages and losses and gains, the US' west development has greatly facilitated the sustained development of the US economy and in turn, significantly quickened the modernization of the US. More importantly, it provides invaluable implications for the west development in China; specifically, the west development should be preconditioned by the setting-up of laws and preceded by transportation. It should set the guideline of industry in correspondence with regional superiority, carry out the policy of increase-as-focus and utilize the high-new industry of technology as the starting-point of the economic development in the backward areas.
