摘要
讨论译者翻译《红楼梦》时所采用的方法 ;衡量这些方法的得失 ,以及个别译者从事跨文化翻译的成绩。
The purpose of this paper is two fold: first, to describe the methods of rendering the allusions in Hongloumeng into English; second, to evaluate the practicability of these methods as well as individual translators' degree of success in solving problems caused by cultural discrepancies.
