This paper introduces the basic structure, major functions and technology used in developing one kind of CAD system for medium-or-small-sized oil depot & filling station. The CAD system adopts equipment-blockbased on design and opening database management techniques, and builts engineering design databases of medium-or-small-sized oil depot & filling station, and also provides a series of tools about drawing, design, calculation, modification, edit, dimension and mark. Furthemore it may create various engineering drawings and design calculation documents according to relevant national standards and criterions, and permit design engineers to carry on open maintaining and managing as well.
