As to what gives rise to the May4\+ th local fiction,general attention has been paid to the writers,the age they live in and the current artistic customs,leaving the study of the readers'role untouched.Besides,the study of the developing rule of liteature itself is limited to the realistic creative technique of'plunging into the thick of life'.The authors'view is the literary developing rule should be the general developing trend of the whole literature,which includes all kinds of thoughts and artistic views.How did the local fiction go with this trend?What is the role of the readers?With investigation into the above questions,the author studies the certain rise of the local fiction in the May4\+ th period.
