A Discussion on Modern Chinese Intellectual's "Role Recognization

中国传统知识分子是以“士大夫”状态存在的 ,一身二任 :既为政治负责 ,又为文化考虑。随着近代社会的专业化 ,近代知识分子转型的历史任务之一即是与政治分离 ,回归文化本位。本文主要考察了近代中国的社会现状对这一过程的影响以及中国近代知识分子的“角色认同”

Chinese traditional intellectuals were 'scholar-officials' who acted as officials and scholars. Along with the specialization of the modern society, they should separate themselves from the politics and go back to cultural work. This article studies mainly the situations of modern Chinese society and its effects on Chinese traditional intellectual's 'role recognization'.
