Public opinion consists mainly of people's views on political life and public affairs. The article here tries to give an overall explanation, from the perspective of political sociology, of the meaning, content, features and functions of public opinion and suggest ways to control it, which may enable us to have a right knowledge of public opinion and help the building of socialist democracy and the formation of good public opinion.
