Two Historical Notes on Literature of Wei and Jin Dynasties

本文考订下列二事 :一 ,正元初年阮籍因参与立高贵乡公曹髦为帝一事有功 ,迁散骑常侍 ,这时他主动要求外放为东平相 ,是不愿意参加曹髦主持的政治性学术讨论 ,并远离阴谋家钟会其人 ;二 ,袁准 (孝尼 )与嵇康、阮籍相熟 ,他是一个懂得时务的理论家 ,所以与阮籍关系密切 ,而与嵇康有一定的距离。

This paper clarifies the following two matters.(1)By hint of his service in making Cao Mao emperor, Yuan Ji was promoted to San-qi-chang-shi at the beginning of Zhenyuan, when he asked voluntarily to be Prime minister of Dongping for the purpose of avoiding the academic discussion with a political character under the auspice of Cao Mao and staying at a distance from Zhong Hui the conspirator.(2)Yuan Zhun(xiao-li) is a friend of Yuan Ji and Ji Kang and he is a theorist with perfect understanding of the times, so he is closely related to Yuan Ji,but merely aquatinted with Ji Kang.
