爱情诗的兴盛是中晚唐诗坛一个引人注目的文学现象。中晚唐士人“达则兼济天下” ,“穷则独善其身”的时代精神 ;由盛唐诗气势雄浑、境界阔大到中晚唐诗意绪细赋、境界狭小的审美趣味的变迁 ;中晚唐“崇侈游宴”的社会风气促使爱情意识的产生 。

The flourish of poems of love is a special phenomenon of literature in the circle of poets of the late Tang Dynasty.In the mid-late Tang Dynasty scholars 'would relieve the distress of the world as they became illustrious',and 'would maintain their own integrity when becoming poor' which reflected the spirits of times;From the prosperious Tang Dynasty to the mid-late Tang Dyhasty the poems with powerful atmosphere and with wide level changed into ones with smooth and fine flavour,with gentleness and narrow level,with delicacy and aesthetic taste;In the mid-late Tang Dynasty the general mood of society upholding luxury promoted the development of consciousness of love and the cause which formed this literary phenomenon.
