东南大学是中国近代著名高等学府之一 ,其创建与发展是近代江苏社会推动的产物。作为一所国立大学 ,东南大学创立以后 ,不但为近代江苏培养了大批社会发展急需的各式人才 。

Southeast University was one of the famous universities in China's modern history.Its establishment and development resulted from the effort of different strata in Jiangsu. Southeast University not only cultivated a large number of talents to meet the urgent need in Jiangsu,but also promoted the modernization in Jiangsu Province.
