Local Militia Units of Korean Emigrants in Yanbian and the Struggle against Japanese Spy in the Period of Sino-Japanese War

甲午战争时期，延边地方军政当局为了边疆安全，组建“越垦韩民”的团练，展开了反对日本奸细的斗争。这不仅是中国朝鲜族历史上与兄弟民族协同守边、一致对外的先例，而且是中国朝鲜族爱国主义运动的开端。这为日后各民族共同团结抗日打下了良好的基础。

： In order to keep its border area secure,the government of Yanbian organized local militia units of Korean emigrants and carried out the struggle against Japanese spies in the course of Sino Japanese war.It not only created a precedent for Korean minority to fight for the security of the border area,but also marked the beginning of Korean minority's patriotic campaign.It layed a solid foundation for Korean minority to fight against Japanese imperialist with other nationalities in the later decades.
