内蒙古开发走与推进城镇化相结合之路是改变传统发展之路的最佳方式 ,是由现代化规律所决定的 ,对农业整体上减人增效 ,改造小农生产方式 ,增加农民收入 ,扩大内需 ,拉动自治区经济增长有重要意义。在实施西部大开发战略中 ,内蒙古开发走与城镇化相结合之路 ,应成为我区发展经济的根本出路。

The development of Inner Mongolia should take the road of urbanization of the rural areas which is the best way to change the traditional mode of development, and which is determined by the law of modernization. It will play a great part in reducing agricultural population, raising efficiency of agricultural production, changing the small-scale mode of agricultural production, increasing the peasants' income, enlarging the domestic demands and advancing the economic growth of Inner Mongolia. In carrying out the strategy to develop the west in a big way, the urbanization of the rural areas should be our first choice .
