On Acquiring English Productive Vocabulary

词汇学习始终是英语学习的一个重要组成部分。词汇根据其不同的使用目的可以分为积极性词汇和消极性词汇。英语积极性词汇的习得需要学习者掌握词汇的发音与拼写、词义 (包括指示意义和内涵意义 )、词汇的语法属性以及词汇的搭配等方面的知识。学习者在学习英语词汇时只有注重积极性词汇的习得 ,并通过不断的口笔头交际练习 。

Vocabulary learning is always an important component of English learning. Vocabulary with its different purposes of usage can be classified into productive and receptive vocabulary. Acquiring English productive vocabulary requires learners to master lexical pronunciation and spelling, lexical meanings including denotative and connotative meaning, lexical grammar features as well as lexical collocations. In this sense, learners, when studying English vocabulary, must focus on the acquisition of productive vocabulary, and their English production can only be enhanced with their acquired productive vocabulary put to frequent oral and written use
