This paper makes the social environment that women's participation in politics in contemporary China is confronted with as a beginning and divides it up three parts: the factors in economy, institution and culture. This paper analyzes these factors separately. From the analysis we can find the advantages and disadvantages that women's participation in politics in contemporary China is faced with. Analyzing correctly these advantages and disadvantages will be producing a kind of positive function to promote the development of women's participation in politics in our country in future.
