Grasping the Characteristics of Our Day of the "Three Represent＇s" to Devolop the Students＇ Awareness of Historical Responsibility at the Insitutions of Higher Learning

“三个代表”重要思想是江泽民同志在世纪之交，根据世界政治经济发展形势、国际共产主义运动现状及政党执政规律、中国经济社会发展的现状及其党建问题而提出的指导思想，要让大学生真正理解“三个代表”的重要意义，只有从时代背景入手，体验时代使命，从而培养历史责任意识。

The important thought of the 'three represent＇s' is the guiding thinking which President Jiang Zemin put forward at the turn of the centuries based on the situations of the world political and economic development,on the status quo of the international communist movement and the law of how the politcal Party is in power as well as on the status quo of China＇s economic and social development and the construction of the Party.In order to enable the college students to have a real understanding of the significance of the 'three represent＇s',we have to start with the background of the times to let the students experience the mission of the times so as to foster their awareness of the historical responsibility.
