Kawabatayasunari,a Japanese prolific writer,also the second Nobel Prize winner in Asia,is noted for his great talent in effectively expressing Japanese people's spiritual value with highly keen feeling and skillful description.His peculiar artistic style occupies an important place in Japanese literature and his representative works such as Snowing Place,Old Town,A Thousand Cranes have been translated into many languages.This paper aims at introducing Kawabatayasunari's life of literary creation and exploring the artistic features of Snowing Place to help people to learn about Japanese literature.
