东方文化曾经一度站在世界文化屋脊上 ,创造了令世人称羡的辉煌 ;近代以来起而代之的新的先进文化———西方文化 ,在导引人类不断逼近更高的物质文明的同时 ,也把人类诱入了危机四伏的文化困境。千年伊始 ,东西方文化的互补是世界新的先进文化的惟一出路 ,实现以东方文化为主导的东西方文化的千年“牵手” ,进而达到灵与肉的结合与互补 ,才能共同打造出新的世界先进文化。

For some time, oriental culture stood on the roof of the world culture and made brilliant achievements well known to the whole world. Western culture, an advanced new culture, which rose in modern times, trapped mankind in cultural predicament while pushing mankind toward a higher material civilization. In this new millenium, the complementation of the oriental and western culture is the only way out for the world's new advanced culture. Only by means of 'joining hands' of the oriental culture and the western culture with the oriental culture taking the lead, and the further combination and complementation of the 'soul and flesh', can a new advanced world culture be jointly made.
