摘要
采用两种测量手段就英语学习效果有关的五项人格特征毅力、敢为 (冒险 )、焦虑、独立和内 /外向对随机抽取的 1 2 0名英语专业的专科生进行测试。测试的结果是 :1 .在汉语语境下 ,学习者的毅力、敢为 (冒险 )、焦虑和独立这四种人格特征与其英语学习效果显著相关。 2 .学习者的毅力、敢为 (冒险 )、焦虑、独立和内 /外向这五种人格特征对其英语分项学习效果产生不同影响。
This thesis reports the results of an experimental research in the Chinese context of certain personality traits and their relationships to English performance at the college level.The results are :(1)Among the five personality traits, willpower ,risk-taking, anxiety and independence are significantly related to Chinese learners'performance in English learning,while no significant relationship is found between introversion/extroversion and Chinese learners'performance in English learning.(2)The five personality traits have different degrees of influence on language performance-Reading Comprehension,Listening Comprehension,Speaking and Writing.
