A Study on the Mental Health Level of Freshman

The Symptoms Check List 90 (SCL-90) has been used to examine the mental health condition of college and university freshmen of Changsha University. The test results present obvious evidence of various psychologic problems existing among 10.9% of the examinees. The test also indicates that there are significant differences of psychologic health between female and male freshmen and between female freshmen of college level and university level.
