Abstrcat: This paper presents the structure, characteristic of the J-CAD drifting buoy. T he sensors performance and the function of the electronic facilities are also in troduced. It has compact structure, cheap price and strong function, which is th e first drifting buoy used for observing the ocean beneath the sea ice in the wo rld and developed in the beginning of 21 century.
