朴趾源是朝鲜文学史上最杰出的作家之一，他的小说《虎叱》中的老虎形象包含着多元的象征意蕴，老虎的原型本质是一种强烈向往人类社会的自然性的象征物；通过老虎的形象可以看出作家的文化意识；“老虎”形象具有强烈的审美感染力。

A Tiger's Rebuke' was written by Pak Chi - won, one of the most outstanding writ-ers in the history of Korean literature. The tiger in Pak' s fiction implies pluralistic symbolic im-plications since its archetype in essence symbolizes a strong natural desire for human society. Thetiger presents an aesthetic appeal to its readers and we can see clearly the writer's cultural aware-ness though the image.
