On Dr.Sun Yat - sen's Three Principles of the People and Their Historical Roles

孙中山将同盟会的纲领阐发为民族、民权、民生的三民主义,扩大了统一战线,赢得了辛亥革命的胜利,建立了资产阶级共和国,结束了绵延两千余年的封建君主专制政体。马克思主义的广泛传播,新文化运动的蓬勃发展,在共产国际、苏联和中共帮助下,孙中山确立了联俄、联共、扶助农工的三大政策,并发展了三民主义,指导了两次国共合作统一战线的实现,取得了北伐战争和抗日战争的胜利,大大推动了新民主主义革命事业的发展。

Dr. Sun Yat - sen elucidated the guiding principle of the United League of China as the Three Principles of the People (Nationalism, Democracy and the People's Livelihood), which enlarged the united front and helped to win the victory of the Revolution of 1911 .The Qing Dynasty was overthrown and a bourgeis republic was founded.Thus, the feudal autocratic monarchy over 2 000 years was put an end to. with Marxism widely spreading in China, the New Culture Movement developing, Dr. Sun Yat - sen, with the help of Comintern, the Soviet Union and the Chinese Communist Party ( CCP) , formulated the three cardinal policies of allying with the Soviet Union, allying with the CCP and helping the peasants and workers, and developed the Three Principles of the People. The Principles played a leading role in realizing the cooperation between the KMT and CCP, which ensured the victory of the Northern Expedition( 1926 - 1927) and the War of Resistance Against Japan and pushed forward the new - democratic revolution of China.
