Unique Literary Language Features of Singapore Chinese

新加坡华文文学语言由于独特的自然、社会和文化环境 ,在词语和语法两方面形成与其母体———中国文学不同的特点 :大量吸收外语成分并构成新词 ,闽、粤语词占较大比重 ,有独立使用的华语词汇以及中国熟语新用 ;词与词的搭配存在与普通话不同的现象。这些显著区别 ,构成中新两国华语文学互相影响。

Due to unique natural,social and cultural environment,in contrast to the Chinese literary language,Singapore Chinese literary language is quite different:large number of loan words,Fujian and canton dialectal words,its own coined Chinese words and old Chinese words,bearing new meanings.On the other hand,these differences make a dear distinction between Singapore's Chinese,but,at the same time they interact and influence each other.
