This article discusses the popular misunderstanding of modern theories.The author believes that the meaning of modernization refers to the transistional process from traditional society to modern society in the West countries,including economy,society,politics and culture,among which economic modernization is the core of modernization.In the modern system,the modernization in economic field is the most index. And the index in economic modernization is GDP and population structure of urban and rural areas.The key is the modern process in economic field,continually to cultivate market economy and promote industrialization.
