Studies of the Origins and Developments of Art Design and Industrial Arts

中国的现代艺术设计是由历史悠久的工艺美术蕴育的 ,在 2 0世纪引进借鉴西方现代艺术设计思想 ,经历了繁杂混沌的过程及从工艺美术到设计概念的转化后 ,于 2 0世纪末形成的新的学科。它与工艺美术既有着紧密的源脉关联 ,又在新的发展中产生了本质的区别。面向 2 1世纪 ,中国的艺术设计将面临着现代文明的多样化、人性的多元化、“绿色设计”、高新技术应用、继承与发展等诸多方面的挑战 。

Chinese modern art design, which originated from industrial arts with long_history, gathered modern design thoughts of Eastern art and experienced the progress of chaos and complexities and the concept transference from industrial arts to design arts in the 20th century, became a new subject at the end of 20th century. It has a close relationship with industrial arts in origin but has formed essential distinctions in its new developments. In this century, Chinese art design is facing the challenges of diversities of modern civilization and human nature, 'green design', the application of high and new technology, continuity and development ,and etc., which need to be studied.
