摘要
心智主义者 (mentalism)提出语言习得的最佳年龄在 10岁之前 ,在这段时间内 ,人脑中的“语言习得机制” (LAD)具有可塑性 (plasticality) ,但从青春发育期开始 ,这种可塑性就会逐渐消失 ,甚至产生“僵化现象” (fossilization)。但事实上 ,成年人经过努力仍然能获得较好的语用能力。本文围绕“语感训练模式” (languagesensetrainingmodel) ,从行为主义入手 ,结合心智主义的理论 ,通过小试和中试的观察 ,提供了可供操作的量化参考值 ,以说明后青春期的“习得机制”只要得到强化的外部刺激 (stimulus) ,就有可能被激活 (activated) ,使学习者习得目的语 (targetlanguage) .
According to mentalism, the optimal age for language acquisition is before 10 years old because during this period, the LAD (Language Acquisition Device) in human brain has plasticality. But since puberty, this plasticality begins to disappear which sometimes even ends up in fossilization. However, some adults do have acquired the target language competence through hard work. Starting from the theory of behaviorism and mentalism, this essay, based on the experimental results of applying the language sense training model to practice at small and medium scale, tries to provide some operational quantitative data in order to prove that the LAD during post puberty can be activated for language acquisition on condition that the learners receive enough and appropriate input.
