Calculation of initial amount of compression of tubing is an important parameter for calculation analysis of one packer string force.It not only supplies instruction for field construction while packer is being packed,but also is basis of calculating force and determining string deformation during the later operation process or well completion.Calculation equation of initial amount of compression of string is deduced and analysed,and calculation examples are given in the paper.
