中国现代比较文学发轫于20世纪初，王国维、鲁迅、茅盾的研究，已带有比较的性质。二三 十年代，比较文学作为一门新兴的现代学科在中国正式形成。50至70年代，大陆的比较文学 一度处于沉寂的状态，但港、台地区较为活跃，多有创获。进入新时期以来，比较文学研究 复兴，在学科理论、文本解读、以及学科发展史诸领域全面发展，视野开阔，成果丰硕。

Modern Chinese comparative literature commenced in the early 20th century and emerged as a new di scipline in the twenties.From 1950' to 1970's,the studies had once become retice nt in the mainland of China,but very active in Hongkong and Taiwan.With the adve nt of a new era,comparative literature studies have now revived and developed in terms of theory,text and disciplinary history.
